Photos of SyAAF MiG-21s - Updated

Some other photos of SyAAF MiG-21's I could collect from the web, updating the first post of this aircraft I posted in Dec. last year.
Here above, another photo of the MiG-21PFM that in display on a roundabout in Aleppo not very far from the entrance of the Artillery School.

SyAAF MiG-21FL at the first entrance of Kweres AFB (AKA Rasm Al Abboud AFB), photographed during the Syrian uprising. Note the local made surface-to-surface missile -in the background- fired by rebels towards the air field.

More recent photo of the same MiG-21FL.

Very nice and rare shot of a SyAAF MiG-21MF during the war of 1973. It is fitted with four AA-2 Atol's.

MiG-21R at the Panorama of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war. It is fitted with air-to-air missile plus unguided rocket pod under each wing. Unfortunately, no serial is visible on this airframe.

Special thanks to 'PFC Joker' for his great and very rare addition. I quote from his text "This MiG-21UM captured at Dabaa AB - and now supposedly recaptured by the Syrian Army - has a clearly visible serial № 516871061 on its fin. Also of interest is the Soviet Air Force red star with a Syrian flag crudely painted over it - it seems that the aircraft was taken out of service in Soviet Union and sent to Syria (probably as a part of emergency weapon deliveries just after the 1973 year Arab-Israeli war) "

SyAAF Various IV

Good shot of a SyAAF MiG-23BN while performing an air raid over Damascus, namely over towns of Eastern Ghouta. SyAAF pilots used to dispense flares exactly after releasing payloads of bombs as seen here.
This type of aircraft is still operating from Al Nasriyeh AFB.

A Syrian Air An-26 spotted somewhere in Lattakia area, carrying the serial YK-ANC. This transporter belongs to the Military Transportation Brigade based at Damascus IAP, used mainly to supply ammo and unit transport.

This An-26 was spotted a while before landing at Hama AFB.

This Il-76 as well...

Staying in Hama, this SyAAF Mi-8 which carries the serial 51 (i.e 1251) also was spotted over the air base, note the insignia of "The Factory" painted in white under the left pilot's side window.

Another shot for a Mi-8 also over Hama with serial 99, I am not sure whether this is the same 99 which was seen damaged (boom-less & wing-less) in Taftanaz airbase.
